Our Firm

Atwood Gameros is a hands-on legal firm whose dedicated principals work directly with the clients we serve. Founded in 2013 by two seasoned lawyers from the Trial Practice section at Jones Day, one of the world’s largest law firms, Atwood Gameros focuses on special education law, business disputes, construction litigation, and more.

We’re proud to bring our big-firm training and experience to local families and businesses, providing Texas clients with the personal service they expect and deserve. By keeping our overhead and staffing costs low, we’re able to capitalize on our experience to offer efficient, cost-effective representation — whether in the courtroom or through a negotiated resolution.

Special Education Law

Our Reason for Being

Roy Atwood's experience with special education law is more than professional — it's personal. As the parent of a child with Down syndrome, Roy understands the complexities of working with school districts to ensure a free appropriate public education for each student.

What Our Clients Are Saying

“My son needed a 504 plan and later an IEP plan to be able to graduate from high school. Mr. Atwood was instrumental in working with the public school system to keep my son in school and develop a plan to help him graduate from high school. He went from being 1-1/2 years behind to graduating six months early. I highly recommend Mr. Atwood if an educational attorney is needed to help navigate the ins and outs of the public school system. He truly has the best interest of the child in mind.”

— Debi

“BEST legal team EVER!”

— Michelle

“Roy has been a huge help to us. His counsel is second to none. He is also compassionate and spends as much time as possible with his clients. I highly recommend him. He also made recommendations to us for additional services outside of legal counsel that have proved to be very useful in helping our child.”

— Amy
